A Collection Of Towns

Cracked pavements
that run down
from the top
of the street,
to the bottom.
The bright moon,
the way it
reflects off its
nearby friends;
the windows.
Helpless cries,
a homeless stranger
sitting under a
bus shelter,
begging for money
and other luxuries.
Young children in
gangs of about
twelve, circling shadows
as they fight against
boredom.
Punters stood outside
a busy pub,
smoking long, thin
cigarettes, their eyes
full of empty regret.
Smashed in shop windows.
Cats fleeing into the night.

A collection of towns.
