Air

Soon, all we shall be
Is air.
Lifeless air,
Floating past beautiful souls
Who do not know we’re there.
Soon, our bodies will dissolve
And all our minds worry
Will simply, slip away,
Without pain.
There is no escape from life,
It grabs us, nurtures us
And leaves us with scars;
Unmistakable marks.

Soon all we shall be is dust,
Caught in an embrace of air.
