Life’s Ritual

When the child cries,

the moon shall go.

When laughter stops,

cracks may show.

The curtains, drawn,

soon shall open,

to a world of vision,

a world of pity.

Who will crave the

souls of those?

When the child cries

and the moon decides to go?
