One Day In The Past

I brought a notebook

from a man on

a market stall,

I only brought it

because of his smile.

It was wise,

as if he’d seen

the whole world

through that one

leather bound book.

It only cost a tenner,

I suppose the price

could’ve been better

but the looks were there.
