20th

It was probably

those years spent

in a tiny,

prison like room,

sharing one light

with eight other people,

having one photo

of my mother

hanging above the desk,

feeling the familiar nagging

of desperate sadness,

the sweet taste

of giving up;

you see,

once you fall into words,

it’s almost impossible

to let go.
