Sea’s Seeing

Holding one

foot

towards the

waters edge

and

one foot

behind the

shore

line,

stumbling, kneeling,

stumbling,

kneeling;

holding one

foot

close enough

to the

waters edge,

closer, stumbling,

kneeling,

closer;

holding one

foot

towards the

waters edge

whilst

the other

dips its

toes

into the

cool

wind;

stumbling, kneeling,

escaping, resetting;

emptiness.

The cool touch

of wind

as one foot

dips itself

into the seas

embrace.
